Corruption Detected-Feature Manager Settings

So every time i start my computer it says this "Corruption has been detected in FeatureManagerSettings, backup file has been loaded". So wht does this mean? and how can i get rid of it? I got a dell laptop studio xps 64 running windows vista. its about 2 year old laptop. if you need any more info on the specs of my laptop let me know. im not that good with tech so yeah. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated!
