D820 Biometric Coprocessor Driver

Question

Does anyone know where I can locate the Windows XP Professional device driver for the device listed as 'Biometric Coprocessor' under the Device Mangler?  I have this shiny new laptop with a biometric device and it is totaly worthless without this small little piece of software....strangley enough it is NOT listed under the Dell downloads or on the resource CD.   Any help would be greatly appreciated.   -Mike

Hi,   Dell don't provide that driver lol... Its only available if u install OS from DELL OS Recovery CDs..   You can find the driver here : http://www.upek.com/support/dl_strip_ibm.asp   Works like charm!   Enjoy!

Thanks for the info...unfortunately I have already tried that. This is only the TPS application and does not appear to have the device driver as a part of it.

And the search continues....thanks for the effort, I do appreciate it.

It is the Broadcom TPM drivers. It's under chipset I believe on the dell downloads page for your model.
