Delayed startup after pressing power button Inspiron 7447

Greetings,

I had my motherboard replaced due to the USB port issue and it's been fixed. However, there is now a 5 second delay between pressing the power button and actually going to the boot  logo screen. The delay only has the screen turned off.

Back then it started almost instantaneously. BIOS version is a07.

Thanks

Update: the delay is 16 seconds.

Hi MATTHEW8991,

Did the issue start right after the motherboard was replaced? Does the system startup and work fine after booting into windows? Does this issue happen with or without the adapter connected to the system?

Try reseating the RAM modules or try one RAM module at a time and check if it works fine - download the service manual - http://dell.to/1O2PSxn

Restart the system and press f12 key on startup - choose diagnostics. Let it run the diags and if you encounter any errors - make a note of the complete error and report the same to us. Also, run an extended memory test and HDD test on the system and check for possible errors.

Keep us updated.

The issue started right after the motherboard was replaced,  The system works fine after booting into windows, other than error code 43 in USB controllers in Device Manager, which made Bluetooth disappear, and recently BSOD Critical Process Died. DVD Drive also encountered buzzing noises and freezing.

Issue happens both with and without the adapter connected. Already tried the alternate RAM methods, no change.

No errors in extended memory test.

I've already contacted Support and they've said the technicians will bring a motherboard, DVD drive, and wireless card.

Thanks

Thank you for the update.

Since you have managed to contact our colleagues and that the parts are being replaced, I guess that should resolve the issues on the system.
