Dell 3360 Windows 8.1 Fingerprint reader not working
Hey guys, I have tried following so many posts but I had to re-format and re-install windows 8, upgraded to windows 8.1 and can't get my fingerprint scanner to work. It detects and I installed the biometric validity censor in device manager, but when I install digital persona 5.1 it says it does not pick up the reader or something , where as the reader is detected and installed in device manager. I have tried the latest driver from dell drivers and that did nothing, uninstalled /re-installed digital persona and same thing. Please help. Thanks

Vostro 3360 systems have been tested for support of Windows 8.1 update. The 3360 does support update to Windows 8.1, with the following open issues directly after update:
Problem: Device Manager may show "Unknown device" and yellow exclamation mark for ISCT.
Solution: Update the ISCT driver from the Dell Drivers and Downloads website after upgrading to Windows 8.1."
Problem: The function button cannot launch the Windows Mobility Center application.
Solution: Update the System BIOS and the QuickSet application from the Dell Drivers and Downloads website after upgrading to Windows 8.1."
Problem: Device Manager may show a yellow exclamation mark next to the Bluetooth device.
Solution: Update the Bluetooth driver from the Dell Drivers and Downloads website after upgrading to Windows 8.1.
Problem: Device Manager may show a yellow exclamation mark for the fingerprint reader hardware.
Solution: Update the fingerprint reader driver from the Dell Drivers and Downloads website after upgrading to Windows 8.1.

But this does not work.
As mentioned in my first post I have tried the Dell drivers from their drivers page and although installed , when I install the Personna it does not recognise this.
Now it did before I re-installed the OS and it does detect the driver but this still comes up saying it does not detect the fingerprint scanner is installed.
What is the next step please?
