Dell 6430u + D5000 docking station

Question

Hey Everybody My organization recently purchased a Dell 6430u along with a Dell Wireless D5000 docking station. I am having problems getting the laptop to connect to the docking station after the laptop has been shutdown. After reboot I always have to into the D5000 manager and reconnect the device. When its connected to the dock however it works fine. I just cant get it to automatically reconnect to the dock after shutting down the laptop. Thought?     -Vishal

Hi Vishal,

There is a way to enable auto connect mode. In the connection manager go to settings -> profiles and enable it there.

I saw a video showing how to do it in Wilocity forum (http://forum.wilocity.com/smf/).

We have 2 of these units and I'm at about 15 hours invested trying to make them work. Dell working hard, but seems like a lot of time for a freaking docking station to work...
