Dell D820 Drivers
I totally wiped my D820 with DBAN, put the OS back on, and now am having a hard time finding the wifi driver along with the driver to allow DVD's to play in the DVD slot. Can somebody please help me in knowing what exact drivers I need for this laptop? This is the only problems I have is playing DVD's on the laptop and having the wifi working. Thanks!!! :-)

DVD playing is not driver related you need some software which I expect came installed with your original OS whatever that was, I think you'll need to indicate what your OS is if you want people to suggest drivers for your wifi card.

What OS did you load, if Windows 7 or Windows 8.1 use my drivers here:

If Windows 8.1 note that there is no DVD playback natively with this OS and you need to install a third party program such as VLC player.
Windows XP has reached End of Life.

Hi,
I put XP on the laptop which is what was on it before. I'm tempted to buy a Windows 7 install CD off of Ebay but am concerned I may run into problems if I don't have a product key for that OS. I have VLC media player installed yet it says that the DVD is not able to be decoded. It worked perfectly before I wiped it with DBAN so I assumed it is a driver that is missing.
Thanks for your response.

You will need a product key to install Windows 7 on this laptop but the laptop works very well with Windows 7. Install the klite codec pack:
