Dell Diagnostics Error Code
My notebook is Inspiron 1564, I bought it 1 month ago. Everything of the notebook works well except the webcam integrated. I try to reinstall software and driver but it still not works. I used Dell Diagnostics to check the problem and discovered some error code here:
Error code: 6600:0120
Msg: USB_DEVICE - Unsuccessful startBist command
Error code: 6600:0121
Msg: USB_DEVICE - Unsuccessful disableBist command
Error code: 6600:021F
Msg: USB_DEVICE - Unsuccessful enableBist command
Error code: 6600:0221
Msg: USB_DEVICE - Unsuccessful disableBist command
Error code: 6600:031F
Msg: USB_DEVICE - Unsuccessful enableBist command
Error code: 6600:0321
Msg: USB_DEVICE - Unsuccessful disableBist command
Error code: 6600:041F
Msg: USB_DEVICE - Unsuccessful enableBist command
Error code: 6600:0421
Msg: USB_DEVICE - Unsuccessful disableBist command
Error code: 6600:051F
Msg: USB_DEVICE - Unsuccessful enableBist command
Error code: 6600:0521
Msg: USB_DEVICE - Unsuccessful disableBist command
Error code: 6600:061F
Msg: USB_DEVICE - Unsuccessful enableBist command

Msg: USB_DEVICE - is not respoding
I don't know how to fix this problem? I hope everyone will help me.

Contact Dell Support to get help with a problem on a new computer. Try this if you haven't already--type Webcam in the Start box and open Dell Webcam Central to test the webcam. Contact support if it doesn't work. The webcam should work when you start a program that uses it like Windows Messenger, Skype, etc

In that case, you'll need to call and arrange a warranty repair.

Thanks for your help. I've restored my notebook from Image Factory (followed by Dell Support) but the problem still remain.

Hi,
I'm getting the same error on my Dell Studio XPS 1340 laptop while running the Dell diagnostics CD.
Error Code: 6600:011F
Msg: USB_Device - Unsuccessful enableBist command
I was wondering what the end result was? Was any hardware replaced and if so, what? I'm trying to decide what to do now if I should I get it repaired or replace it.
