The png at the bottom of this note shows the Version I continue to have after 3 "successful" attempts to update this driver to the 2/19/2013 version. The date says 10/29/12. Note, there are no error messages of any kind, and the whole thing appears to be successful, but alas I don't get the new driver.
Thanks for providing us this information. Please let me know what happens when you try to install the updated drivers.
Also, let us know the version of windows installed on the system. And if the current driver is working fine and there are no issues using the current driver then you can keep using the same as well.
I think you have a fundamental problem with the versions and dates listed on your recommended driver update site. They dont match the actual drivers. For example, for the above elan driver, the actual driver shows 11.3.3.5 and date of 10/29/12. However, your website recommends I download 11.3.3.5 / A04 dated 2/19/2013. This seems to be the case for other drivers as well. In some cases, even though the dates did not match, the versions did and it wouldnt let me install. In other cases, it installs as if it were new, but the date doesnt change.
Meanwhile, the "My Dell" app Windows 8 keeps complaining my computer is at risk because I dont have the latest 11.3.3.5 / A04 driver.
By the way, I dont have any issues with the touchpad -- just wanted to make sure everything is up to date and rid myself of the Red Warnings from "My Dell"
Seems kind of messy. Thanks in advance for your help.
I understand you have the updated driver but it still shows that you need to update the driver. We truly regret the inconvenience that has been caused to you.
Please don't worry it would be rectified and I am sure you would not get the similar warnings for the drivers.
If you have any further queries please feel free to contact us.

Hi newkodabear,
Thanks for providing us this information. You can download the touchpad drivers from the link below:
http://dell.to/YBhRbY
If after updating you still receive the error from the same let us know it might be a tool error and we would get this escalated to get it fixed.
Thanks and Regards
