Dell Latitude D630 - wont power on

Dell Latitude D630 - wont power on. It was working perfectly fine with Windows 8.1

1. Two weeks back, it just died; no LEDs would come on when i press the power button

2. removed battery and seems to have full charge

3. removed HDD and DVD drive; pressed/held the power button down for 10-15 secs, no luck ( read on this forum somewhere).

4. When I plugged the power adapter to the laptop with/ without the battery - and the light on the power adapter goes off. and it works fine on another laptop and the battery as well.

Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Hi Satnar,

Thank you for writing to Dell Community Forum.

As you have tried all the troubleshooting steps possible in this situation, looks like the system-board (motherboard) would have to be replaced to resolve this.

Since this model Latitude D630 has reached it's End Of Life support, the parts are not currently available.

Request you to check with an Local Hardware companies if they have any in-stock.

I hope this answers your query, but If there are any other concerns do reply to this post .

Have a good day!

Kindest Regards ,
