Try using a .iso which you can find in my Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office downloads wiki. Then follow my wiki, A Clean Install of Windows.

Get the drivers from the Dell Drivers and Downloads Page here. All the drivers for the 64 bit Windows 7 are available there.

You might be able to get the preinstalled MicroTrend from My Dell Downloads.

32-bit and 64-bit Windows: frequently asked questions

February 13th, 2012 13:00

Hi,

Even I want to upgrade from 32 bit to 64 bit. But due to lack of DVD drive, I am not sure where to start and if I use dell backup and recovery, how do I upgrade to 64 bit from a 32 bit dell backedup image?

Could someone please help?

Cheers,

-Sreeram

Hi, Thanks for the information. But what about the Dell Drivers, software and Trend Micro Security Agent, that came pre-installed on my dell?. How do I get them installed?

Can anyone help me? I am still stuck on this. I can get hold of Win 7 64 bit software and reinstall OS. But how I do get hold of Dell Drivers, software and Trend Micro Security Agent that came pre-installed on my dell?

These days you can purchase external cd-DVD burners pretty cheap from eBay. That is what you need to install a fresh windows 64 bit!
