Dell Studio 17 - How to format Ubuntu? (Linux)

Hi, I've recently brought my laptop to the shop to get the fan cleaned, and they offered me to install Ubuntu as a dual-boot because they knew this laptop was for school, but the idiots (Excuse my language) at the shop accidently put Ubuntu's OS OVER Windows, so windows is now completely gone. They tried to put the original install disc that comes with the laptop, but it says the hard drive is NTFS so Windows can't be installed, so they said they can't do anything. I've trying using Dban to completely wipe out the hard drive, but Dban doesn't work for me. Any help to get rid of Ubuntu (Linux) would be amazing! I miss my Windows :/ Thank you!

Dell Studio 17, the warranty is expired.

32 Bit, 3GB Ram (If this means anything)

Go ahead an "install". The option to repair will then show up.

Boot your Windows disc, and choose the Repair Your Computer option.

Dban will work on any system. How do you know it didn't work? You had better hope Dban didn't work, because the repair option wouldn't be available if Dban worked, and you would need to do a manual install of Windows 7.

Dban won't work for me for some reason because when I boot it from the disc, it asks for 5 options, right? I picked 'Autonuke' because it's automatic, after it says :

Darik's Boot and Nuke 2.2.6 (beta) is starting

Waiting for USB devices to register ................................ Done.

PCI (sysfs)

After it stayed there for about 5 hours and the computer just shut down, without any data erased .. Is this an error in the disc or something? Thanks
