Dell XPS m1530 & m1330 Battery Compability

The battery in my XPS m1530 laptop died recently. The battery type was TK330. Before I go and spend money on a new one I would like to know if  it is feasible to replace it with WR050 battery from XPS m1330 which I can get easily and cheap. The label on the TK330 nor Dell's website do not mention WR050 as a possible replacement. However, according to the manual both batteries have identical physical dimensions (same chasis) and very similar electrical parameters (same 11.1 VDC voltage, comparable capacity). Did anybody ever try swapping them? Any reasons why it would not work?

I'm also interested in the answer - though I'm wondering if a 6 cell m1530 battery will work in an m1330.   Dell only seem to be selling 4 cell and 9 cell batteries for the m1330 now.

The M1530 battery will not fit the M1330.

As mentioned in another one of your posts, spamming with advertising for one company is a violation of forum terms of service....

So I checked, and these batteries are not interchangeable. Funny enough, the dimensions are identical, output voltages and currents are AFAIK also same / similar. The only difference is that the position of the connector pins is slightly offset, so it is physically impossible to fit them into the other model. This is how Dell makes money I guess :(
