Hi,
Welcome to the community
I think this is doable. You need to connect the external hard drive to your computer. Restart the computer and keep tapping F12. Choose the appropriate device where you want to boot from. Hope this helps.

Hello,
Thank for your answer, but I need to know for sure, before I invest in HDD and SATA 2 to eSATAp cable.
So if some has done it I will appreciated.
Thanks
IonutB.

You can also buy a HDD media bay, but that is really not so desirable.

I talked to a Dell representative, which told me this is not a supported option
You can boot from a USB disk or a USB memory key, but not an eSATAp disk.
You might want to try an eSATAp Expresscard .
Kind of stupid, not to support such an option. I am really disappointed...
