Dell latitude e6410 Broadcom USH w/ swipe sensor missing...HELP!

I have a Dell latitude e6410 running windows 7 professional 32-bit.  Upon getting this thing home, i noticed that the recovery is inaccessible and a handful of the drivers were missing and the previous owner had a bunch of them randomly saved on his desktop.  So, i went to work trying to undo any damage this person may have done.  I've gotten everything sorted out so far, EXCEPT i'm still missing a broadcom USH w/ swipe sensor driver according to my device manager.  I've gone through the list of available drivers for the 32-bit operating system for this laptop, i've installed in correct orders, etc.  Does anyone out there have any ideas what could be my problem and how to resolve it?

Hi Weddle,

Welcome to the Community,

Try installing Dell ControlPoint System Manager using this link below :

www.dell.com/.../latitude-e6410

Note: When you're running the installer make sure everything is checked, including finger print reader(even if your system does not have one).

Let me know if this helps,

Thank You

No, that didn't work.  I've installed the Dell ControlPoint System Manager, it isn't doing anything for the device manager.

Go to the dell website and get the DDPA firmware and DDPA driver pack installs (should be under either Security or Data Protection.

Hi  Weddle,

Try this Dell_ControlPoint-Security driver : http://dell.to/PorGaF

After installing the driver reboot the system and than check if broadcom USH w/ swipe sensor is still listed in Device Manager.

If it does not get installed, please post the error message you get.

Thank You

I believe I've found your answer.  At least for Windows 7 Pro 32-bit/64-bit drivers for the Broadcom USH.  You need the DDPA_A03_R308497.exe (32-bit) and R308498.exe (64-bit).  It is the ControlPoint - Security Device Driver Pack

You have to install the firmware then the drivers to resolve the bang.  After that it is the application...
