Display not filling up screen
I have a new Inspiron 15 running on WIndows 7. When I open a Windows file or a web browser, the display does not fill up the whole screen, and there is a "gap" at the top of the screen showing the desktop background. Changing the resolution doesn't help. Any idea on how I can make the gap go away?

I would look adjust the fixed aspect ratio in display properties until the image fills in the entire screen.

This is an issue with the Dell Datasafe 2.0 software. There's an app you kill and it stops doing that.
The answer it seems is 'toaster.exe.' which forms part of Dell data safe.
Kill Toaster then what happens?
If that fixes then:
Open control panel
Double click on the ‘Administrative Tools’
Double click on the ‘Services’
Scroll down and find the ‘SoftThinks Agent Service’, change the startup type to ‘Disabled’, and then click ‘OK’.
Restart your computer, problem solved .
O23 - Service: SoftThinks Agent Service (SftService) - SoftThinks - C:\Program Files\Dell DataSafe Local Backup\sftservice.EXE
