Download factory loaded software

I suffered a catastrophic hard disc failure on my Inspiron N5030 and had to replace the drive. Managed to get Windows 7 from Digital River and reinstalled the drivers from utilities disc that came with the laptop.

Am now trying to get the other software that was originally loaded pre-delivery. The download centre gives me an error message saying that the service tag is not supported.

Am using Internet Explorer as my browser as I gather Google Chrome is not supported.

Where do I go from here?

DELL-Manshu S should have sent you a private message/friend request and should be able to help your register.

So you installed a crack copy of Win7 32bit or 64bit from a site that looks like it's being shut down (Digital River) and now your system doesn't work right?

Well I guess that why there's a Genuine Windows Validation tool:

http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/exe-validation.aspx

Get a real Official validated version of windows 7 and try again.

I'm not raggin on you, crack copies of OS's don't have certain files on them that official copies have, they are omitted in the image process to hinder validation and update processes.......feel where i'm going with this?

To be honest understood that Digital River was the place to get legitimate copies of Windows 7 when the OS was loaded by Dell and no system disc provided.

As it happens I have validated my version on the microsoft site and it passed as authentic so that doesn't appear to be the problem.

Only Dell can fix Service Tag problems. Are you sure you entered it correctly? Are you the original owner and purchased direct from Dell?

Anyway, what exactly are you looking for? Drivers are at http://ftp.dell.com and you can access from list directly.

As for things like Anti-Virus and Nero ... get free MS-SE and ImgBurn .

If you can't play DVDs (missing decoder) you might have to finally get into password protected (in My Account) "My Dell Downloads" and get the Dell-OEM CyberLinkPowerDVD . Or, buy a decoder for $10 ... or just use free VLC.

Digital River is a Microsoft Partner and the .iso are legitimate. i.e. they are not pirated or cracked versions. Some would argue that you shouldn't use them to clean install an OEM system but it will work fine although activation works best with the activation backup and recovery program which utilises the same activation as the Dell Windows 7 Reinstallation DVD. The Service Tag not supported is a Dell issue and has nothing to do with your Windows version. I will try and get one of the Dell employees to help you register on Dells end.
