Downloading Apple QuickTime from the Internet.
I own a Dell Inspiron 17R (N7010) running Windows 7. It's really cool and I love using it.
I am trying to down load Apple QuickTime from Apple's downloading website and every time I try it says'thanks for downloading', but I don't get anything. I click on DOWNLOAD NOW for 'Download Quicktime 7' for Windows 7, without success. I have tried 3 times.
My laptop is protected with McAfee Security Centre which was on it when I purchased it in June 2011, if that is relevant.
Could you please advise me how to successfully download and install QuickTime on my Dell laptop so that I can view movie trailers and other video content.
Thank you, KiwiGraham.

Hi Roshan,
I tried using IE 32 bit and it did not do anything useful.
I did not want to get into downloading Mozilla Firefox so I searched around Apple's Quicktime download web site for any other options to click on other than the main one in big print that says click here to download for Windows 7.
I followed another less prominent trail on this website and actually was able to download QuickTime and I have subsequently used it successfully to view video content from a local golf club on my laptop.
Thanks for trying to help me, but I have now actualy done it for myself.
Have a great day.
KiwiGraham.

Hi KiwiGraham,
Welcome to the Community,
Could you confirm which browser you're using to download this application? Is it Internet Explorer (IE) or Google chrome or Mozilla Firefox or any other browser?
Did you check in the Download folder under the Personal folders? Click on start menu, click on the computer name/User name,Downloads?
Thank You

Hi Roshan,
Thank you very much for replying to me.
The browser I am using is Internet Explorer 9 (Version: 9.0.8112.16421).
I have today checked my 'Downloads' folder as you suggested and it is empty.
I look forward to your further advice as to how I can successfully download QuickTime to my Dell laptop.
Thak you.

Hi KiwiGraham,
Try using IE 32 bit and see if that helps.Click on start menu,in search box type Internet Explorer, open IE which does not have 64 bit on its name.Try downloading and see if that helps.
If that does not work, install Mozilla Firefox(browser) from this link : mozilla-firefox.todownload.com
Use it to download Apple QuickTime and once you download Quick Time,if you don't want to keep this browser, you can uninstall it by going to Control Panel,Programs and Features.
Thank You
