Solved, another user in the forum had found the solution, the original 1558 Webcam software, which works fine with Windows 8.1 is located here: Dell SX2210WFP Monitor Webcam Application Driver Details | Dell US

All finally works fine.  Thanks .

Mary,

Thanks but the software it directs me to, at Dell download does not work. It tells me the file itself is missing required files.  I did download 2.0 from Creative's web but when I open it it gives me the error that the drivers for the webcam are not installed.  I had to upgrade to 8.1 because of a virus to my Windows 7 install.  Because 8.1 moves files I have reinstalled the 2.0 software but no luck and the error message below is what I get when downloading the 2.0 webcam software from Dell.  But thank you.

Hi Steve,

Ensure the webcam is detected under Imaging devices in device manager.

Then download the webcam central from the link - http://dell.to/13DMibD - execute the application and restart the system after installation. This should work.

Keep us updated.

Rishi,

I believe you sent me the wrong link, the one you sent me has to do with "Keyboard" issues.

Hi Steve,

Apologies, I guess I had a mix up of the links.

However, thank you for the update. I am glad that you managed to solve the problem.

P.S. I have corrected the link in my earlier post.
