Ethernet Controller Driver in Device Manager
Hello all,
I'm having difficulty in getting my Ethernet Controller in Device Manager to git rid of the Yellow Question Mark.
Computer: Latitude D630
OS: Windows XP Media Edition
Tried the Dell Website and found what I thought were the correct drivers, but the question mark remains
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks

XP is reaching End of Life in under 2 months, its time to upgrade to Windows 7 or 8.1. For more information see:
To upgrade see my Windows Reinstallation Guide/A Clean Install of Windows 7/8.1:
http://dellwindowsreinstallationguide.com/
Use the following drivers:

yep, I realize XP is coming to an end, which is a shame...I do plan on upgrading, but only if I can get the Ethernet cable to work, in addition to the already working wireless. I don't see any point spending money on a new OS, if the LAN port does not work first.
Thanks for the help

In that case use a Digital River .iso and clean install Windows 7 with it without a product key for a 30 day trial or use the Windows 8.1 enterprize trial. Both OS have native driver support for the Ethernet and its better to test things out completely before deciding on a purchase. Details for evaluation of both Windows 7 and 8.1 are found in my Windows Reinstallation Guide.

As mentioned for Windows 7 and 8.1 the driver for the Ethernet controller is native to the OS.
