Fan problem, Touchpad not responding, slow
Hello,
I bought a Studio 1535 2 weeks ago, it was working very well, and suddenly it has multiple problems:
+ the fan works continouslyat 100%, it is very, very loud,
+ the touchpad does not respond (fortunatly I have a mouse)
+ the keyboard is slow: typing a more than 1key/sec, it does not "hear" all the keys
+ generally the computer is slow.
Any idea? I did a full virus scan last night with McAfee, and nothing was found.
Regards,
Olivier

Ok, I have some more information about the problem:
+ When starting up the computer, I can use normally the touchpad, until either windows is "fully running" or I use the external USB mouse.
+ I ran some tests using the Diagnostics CD, and everything was perfect(fan, keyboard, touchpad)
Now I've seen another problem I had not detected before:
+ The sensitive "multimedia keys" above the keyboard do not respond.
Regards,
Olivier

Had the exact same problem effect me today, tried multiple things (restarts, system restore, virus scan) before i finally unplugged the battery and power cord and replugged them in and it was working again.
I did some searchs and found other people with exact same problems, they suggest removing the battery and holding down the power button and updating to the latest BIOS, both have been met with success and failure for various people.
My laptop is running fine atm and Ive just updated my BIOS to the latest version so i guess ill see what happens over the next few day.
