File Transfer Protocol (FTP)

Does a file transfer protocol come standard with the Inspiron 6000?  I have been asked what FTP I am using and I don't know where to access that information.  Is this software that I have to purchase or is this something I already have?  If this is standard software that comes with the computer, can someone tell me what FTP my computer uses?

Thanks

Windows XP comes with a command line ftp client located in C:\windows\system32\ftp.exe with a version number of "5.1.2600.2180 (xpsp_sp2_rtm.040803-2158)" on my system (XP home SP2). This version number is the same as XP itself as ftp.exe is part of XP.
