Forgotten password Vostro 1720
How can I access laptop without password or how can I reset password? Trying to get information off my old laptop. Tried all the passwords I thought it might be but none worked and "Username/Password incorrect" msg appears. I do get a spinning circle icon when entering one of the passwords, but then the "Username/Password incorrect" message appears. Really need to get access so hope there is a way around this! Thank you!

If it's a Windows password, there are ways to reset that if it's lost:

or
Remove the hard drive and mount it in an external case - if you attach it to a working system you can then copy your files.
