Graphics card for Google Earth

Question

Hi, I'm trying to get Google Earth working on my Latitude CPx. It needs at least a 16 MB graphics card with 3d capability. I doubt if my computer has that powerful of a card, so I looked on the Dell website for System components using my Service Tag #, but didn't see any graphics or video card listed. I might be mistaken, but I think those two are the same (graphics card and video card).

Can anyone tell me what the specs are on my card, or how to find them, and more importantly, where I might find the proper card that would work with Google Earth. Thank you much.

The D-series -- preferably with ATI or nVidia (not Intel) video -- with one caveat:  the D830 and D630 have the faulty nVidia chips and should be avoided.

There is no way the card in that system will handle Google Earth - nor is there any way to upgrade it short of buying a new notebook.

Hi again. I've been looking on eBay, and I see that almost all D-series Latitudes have Intel video chips, or the video is "integrated". I assume that means the video is part of the processor, which is Intel. Correct me if I'm wrong on that. What's the problem with the Intel chip? Is it really that bad?

Also, I see that the D-series are either "single core" or "dual core". I'm not familiar with that term. Would you mind explaining it?
