Hardware needed for video editing?

My company is purchasing a couple laptops that will need to be able to edit short videos -- likely through Adobe Premiere or a similar program. The footage will be HD, and want to be able to output high quality.

I'm trying to find the requirements needed, but am having trouble locating any concrete information.

Would the below specs work, or should I look for something with better computing power?

-Latitude E5550
-8GB 1600MHZ memory
-500GB Hard Drive
-Intel Core i5-5300U Processor
-Intel HD Grapics 5500

Sorry if the info given isn't sufficient. Pretty clueless when it comes to hardware requirements. Thanks for the help!

Checking Adobes’ website for Premier, Intel HD graphics is still not listed as a compatible GPU. If you are just editing short films you may be alright but you may want to consider bumping up the system to a Latitude E6540 with AMD 8790m discreet graphics.

If there will be any need for heavier editing and you have the budget you may want to look at the Precision notebooks, these are mobile workstations designed for among other things video editing. I like the Precision M4800 a great 15” notebook.
