How do I get the Dell finger print software
Hi,
Where do I find the finger print reader software (not the driver)?
I just got a E6320 from Dell outlet. It came with finger print reader hardware, but it doesn't have any finger print reader software. However, it has the finger print reader driver installed. Without software to make use of the reader, I can't use it. Some page google found said you can reinstall the finger print software if it comes preinstalled on your system. Well, it isn't preinstalled, but it should. Why would Dell sell me a computer with the finger print reader hardware with out the software?
Second thing is the system has web cam software installed, but it doesn't have web cam. I guess it doesn't hurt, but it is useless without the web cam.
I hope someone out there can help.
Thanks,
Karen

Hi Karen,
Thanks for the post! We have a guide, I’ve linked below, to help you through the installation of the DDPA (Dell Data Protect Access) application, with this and the security drivers installed on your system you will be able to manage your systems password / fingerprint access options.

Microsoft also allows fingerprint management directly through Windows if you’d prefer. Check out this information for setting up fingerprint readers in Windows.
