How to secure 2.5'' SSD when upgrading Latitude e7450

Question

The laptop comes with the mSATA SSD and a special bracket to insert that mSATA drive into the 2.5'' slot. The parts selector shows that 2.5'' drives are compatible with the e7450 model (e.g. Manufacturer Part : V89HX Dell Part : 400-AGHM drive), but there is no way to secure such a drive in the slot. What is the recommended way? Just attach the lid back without securing the SSD at all?

Hi mayka,

The are two types of versions in LATITUDE E7450 UMA configuration & Discrete configuration. On Discrete configuration you have a slot and place to secure the mSATA drive but on UMA configuration the mSATA drive needs the following parts to secure it on the system.

Ravi, I have the UMA version. I want to replace the mSATA with a 2.5-inch SSD. How do i lix the 2.5-in drive into the bay once the mSATA part is removed please? Thanks
