Hi Haytham Salah,

Request you to try following the below steps:

(1)   Restart the laptop.

(2)   Press the "F2" key on the keyboard while the computer is still booting.

(3)   Open the "Security" settings category.

(4)   Choose "TPM Security."

(5)   Change the TPM Security state to on by checking the box next to it.

(6)   Press the "Esc" key.

(7)   Select "Save / Exit" and continue with the restart.

(8)   Now you may use the below link and update Finger print reader and card reader software:

Select right operating system, under control point chooses and download Dell ControlPoint Security Manager Application. Then the card reader driver under chipset.

(9)   Now Open the Embassy Security Center program

(10) Click on the "Preboot Manager" tab.

(11) Use the Fingerprint Enrollment Wizard to authorize your fingerprints with the software. Register at least two of your fingers.

(12) Return to the "Preboot Manager" tab

(13) Choose your passwords. Both a system and hard drive password are not required. You can choose both or just one.

(14) Click on the "Windows Login" tab.

(15) Check the "Enable Security Windows Login" box.

(16) Choose the "Biometric" option in the "Authentication Type" drop-down.

(17) Click on "Apply."

(18) Click on the "Preboot Manager" tab.

(19) Click on "Advanced" options.

(20) Click on the "Login" tab.

(21) Check the "Automatic logon" box.

Many Thanks it was really helpful and now the finger print reader is working.

Do you have any info regarding the contact less smart card reader ?

Hi Haytham Salah,

Apologies for my previous response I mistook the contact less smart card reader to media card reader. Request you to send me the system service tag via private message. I will then check and let you know more information about this.
