Inbuilt MIC
Hi all, I need to have a ur assistance to know if there is an inbuilt Mic in Dell Inspiron 5110 ... It has the Camera but m unable to start the mic..
Request you please provide the answer and steps to activate it... Sony laps have it..

Hello. according to the Inspiron N5110 User Guide it does have a built-in mic just to the left of the camera. If you don't have the User Guide you can download it from the dell site.
The laptop should have come from the factory with the mic activated. If it did not then it might be defective. If you want to try to activate it, here are a couple of things you can try.
> 1. Click Start
2. Click All Programs
3. Click the Dell Webcam
4. Click Webcam Central to start the program.
5. In the lower right-hand corner of the Dell Webcam Central window, click the drop-down arrow next to the picture of the microphone. Select Microphone. Make sure it is not muted.
> And/or go to the Recording tab of the Sound properties and try to find the internal mic and set it as the default recording device. Not "microphone/line in" which is the external mic.
If you do not see it, right click in the white area of the Recording tab and select to show disabled and disconnected devices and see if it is hidden there.
