Inspiron 1501 Battery

Hi!  Im writing this message, because my dell inspiron 1501 battery (or AC adapter) is having issues.  When i charge the battery, it gets up to about 88 - 93% battery charge then just stops.  The charging light doesnt go off either, and the computer still says "charging," but its not.  If anyone has som ideas or sugestions, i would love to hear about them.

Additional Details:

I replaced the battery in december ad AC adapter in October.  

Im not too sure if this has anything to do with it since it started happening about a week ago.
