It seems to be an issue of no video , As you have already checked the system with external monitor it had the same symptom, Hence it might be a problem with the video card. In order to confirm this we need to run the diagnostics on the system.
You can follow the following steps:
when the system is off hold down the "D" key and press the power button for 3-4 seconds to start the diagnostics.
You should see some colors on the screen like red, green and blue.
If that works in that case video card has gone faulty and Motherboard needs replacement since its a integrated card.
If it fails then LCD screen needs to be replaced.
