Inspiron 2200 AC adaptor issues

Inspiron 2200 laptop....first probs since late 2005! The connection of the adaptor (the pin at the back) appears to be occasionally  loose...so that I get a yellow light, low battery and the thing shuts down. if you fiddle around you can get both lights back on and it is charging.....worth carrying on with, geta new new adaptor...how much??  I am in Spain and all this DELL stuff seems very much geared to US customers...like when you make a profile to join this site there is a list of US states only for your residence.....

Anyhow...anyone have this problem???
