The CPU you have doesn't come at 2.4 or faster.

The fastest CPU in Pentium-M format is currently the 2.0 or 2.1. There are new ones coming, but the bus speed will go up to 533 and your system supports only 400.

A 2.0 or 2.1 GHz Pentium-M can easily run with a 3.0 GHz Pentium4 for many applications.

exactly where are you getting this HD(high-def not high density, but dont worry, my dad, an ex-computer geek, calls id high-density all the time) content from. all present HD programming is either 1080i or 720p, and the processor that you have is just as strong as a 2.4ghz pentium 4. the pentium m gives alot more punch per mhz.

but as i was saying, how are you getting this content on the machine (TV-in or downloading) and which video card - - - Nvidia 5200 or ATI 9600.

cause if you have the 5200, you may just need to upgrade the video card if your set on watching HD on the computer. which i still cant figure out your getting on the machine in a consistent and usable fashion.

i just reread the post. what is --- "pre-recorded TS"

Thanks for replies!

TS is transport streams, a kind of container for video. Using this technology u can write one Hi-Def (thanks for correction! :smileyhappy: ) movie on few DVD disks, for examle. Of course I download it, I dont have HDV camcoder or external HDTV tuner with IEEE1394|USB 2.0 output :smileyvery-happy:.

I think you right, my video card Go5200 is an issue in my case. Even RivaTuner and AGP sideband enabling can't help, maximum I can reach is 10-12 FPS.

Unfortunately I cant buy another video card for upgrade, cause I'm living overseas. ATI wont sell their mobile products directly to customers here.
