If the LED goes out before you connect the DC plug to the system, the adapter is bad and will need to be replaced.
If the LED stays on when the charger is left unplugged from the system but goes out when you connect the DC plug, first try a new DC jack:

If that doesn't solve the problem, the mainboard is bad and will need to be replaced.

I will look for the part you mentioned through the link i.e the cable. I am in India.
