Inspiron N7010 Wireless N/A
My wireless connection on my Dell worked famously until over the weekend. It stopped working and now I cannot find the router. It works fine on our phones, but the laptop will not find the connection. It says "No Connections are Available" and when I try all of my "network maps" it says "The adapter is not connected." It worked fine 5 days ago, but I came back and it wasn't working. Are there some new Windows drivers that messed it up? Any help would be great! #LostInSpace

Hi don_blanco,
Welcome to the community.
It appears the wireless card is disabled in your system. I would suggest you to try enabling the wireless adapter using the F2 key.
In case this does not work, please check the status of the wireless card in device manager by performing the following steps-
Click the start button and in the search box type device manager and hit enter. Click the + sign next to Network Adapters and check what all is listed there.
Let me know of the findings. Glad to be of assistance.

Hi don_blanco,
Welcome to the Dell Community.
Please follow the below steps:
Step 1: Turn the Wireless switch on.
Tap the F2 to turn the wireless switch on.
Step 2: Perform system restore.
You can restore your system to an earlier date when the wireless internet was working fine.
Steps to do it are as follows:
a) Start--All programs - Accessories – System tools – System restore.
Step 3: Check for the wireless driver.
Type the command devmgmt.msc in the run program. In device manager windows look for the wireless driver under network adaptors ,if its missing or shows any yellow exclamation mark then install the driver using the Drivers and Utilities disc or click on this link: www.dell.com/.../19
Please confirm if the issue is fixed.
Thanks,
Shashi K

don_blanco,
Can you run an ipconfig /all log and post it back here.
What make and model is your wireless router? What type of security are you using? What channel?
