Intel Core 2 Duo processor and reliability issues

Our dell support window says that:
Our PC is using an Intel Core 2 Duo processor which was found to have a
reliability problem. After Intel Corp detected a problem with its Core 2 Duo
processor Microsoft released a hotfix that improves the processor's
reliability. You should install this hotfix to prevent problems with your
PC. There are separate links for 32 and 64 bit. How do I tell whicj

Hi If your windows was installed by Dell it is the 32 bit version, Dell does not install windows using a 64 bit version  . The hot fix is for the version of windows you are running not the {CPU chip} it,s self !! See Yea
