Invalid configuration information - please run setup program inspiron 6000

I have an inspiron 6000 that will not boot past the message " Invalid configuration information - please run setup program" I have no option for F1 or f2 etc. If I do hit them when I get the splash screen with the status bar on the bottom I do see something like entering setup but it quickly goes to the invalid meesage. I pull the battery on the board and nothing changes. It has plenty of juice by the way. I pulled everything but the ram with no success. I even ordered ram to see if that will help. I even tried a USB keyboard. thanks for any ideas.

can you get to the point of ctrl+f11 for a pc restore. if you can it will set the system back to day one when you opened the box.

Would this option work if you were at the point where you would hit f2 to enter the bios? I have maybe 1 second before I get this message from the point I hit the power button. I thought this was something odd since there was no option to even hit f2 or f12 etc. Thank you!

I tried with no luck. SOmething more might be wrong.  I removed everything today again and even tried on my LCD tv as a monitor and it goes right into that message with no chance for any key strokes. Thanks
