Is MXM available on Dell notebooks?
I own a Inspiron 5150 and I just heard about a new MXM technologie offered by Nvidia and I'm interested. For those who havent heard of it,the MXM is a Mini PCI technology that is basically a removable video card for notebooks. Well for those of you that have heard of this please post a message on the forum telling me where i can get my hands on this stuff. Also to all 5150 owners I'd like you to consider answering my previous thread. Its kinda stupid I made the threads on the same day, sorry!
Thanks

I know that Alienware laptops allow you to swap out the video card for an upgrade. However, I don't know if this is MXM technology since ATI cards can be swapped as well. The only Dell laptop that allows you to swap for a new card is the XPS.
Hope this helps!

Thanks to the person that replied above, you misunderstood my question though. The MXM technology is mini PCI. I know that on alienware you are able to change the actual video card, but with the MXM you are able to insert a foreign card in you Mini PCI slot and use it as your graphic processor instead of your notebook's built in card. Thanks anyway
