Keyboard issue on Dell XPS 15

Question

Hey there, I took my Dell XPS 15 Laptop in December last year, and was happy with the fast delivery.I noticed that the 'd' button on my backlit keyboard, however, worked erratically. It works fine sometimes, just like the other keyboard keys, but sometimes, it just plays dead! Recently, its been getting on my nerves, as it is killing my ability to code programs. What is wrong with it? Here are my observations 1. The key works fine most of the time, however, it plays dead in the most unexpected and random intervals.2. The other keys have never displayed the issue ever.3. The d key displays this issue irrespective of backlight, Operating System, or speed and pressure of typing for instance, here I'm about to press the d key 15 times, in succession, without pressing hard or holding down. dddddddddd in 15 presses, 5 times, it refused to respond.Im at my wits end here! Kindly help, Dell!

Hello guys! I request the admins to close this thread. Problem unsolved. Warranty claimed and DELL has replaced the faulty keyboard. Thank you for your attempt, PudgyOne :)

Shutdown the computer.

Lift the right side of the computer. Press the wsx keys down at the same time, then lightly blow at the d key. I suspect a crumb or a spec of dirt got down there.

It is possible that maybe the d key is malfunctioning. If the computer is under warranty, then contact Dell.
