Question

How do I use the hash key sitting above the number 3 on the keyboard, when I press the Shift key I get a £(pound sysmbol) instead of the hash # symbol!!

hi there

the problem is with language setting of the keyboard.

follow this

Click Start, point to Settings and click Control Panel.
Double-click the Regional and Language Options icon.
Click the Languages tab.
Click Details.
The Text Services and Input Languages window appears.
Under Default input language, confirm that English (United States)- US / UK (whichever is appropriate ) is selected.
Click OK

Restart the system.
