Keyboard "Switching Letters"
I have a 2009-year Studio 1555 that is having problems with the keyboard typing the wrong letter. It tends to be the left side of the keyboard, typically the A, E, and C keys. I have had it happen once daily over the last 2 years. Is the keyboard just in need of a good cleaning, or is this something I need to have looked at to have fixed.
Thanks - Chris

Hello Chris,
There are a couple of steps I would suggest in order to get this issue fixed.
1. Clean the Keyboard.
-- Turn off the System.
-- Unplug the AC Adapter.
-- Remove the Battery, for instructions on how to remove the battery see the Service Manual.
-- Use can of Compressed Air to blow the dust from the keyboard.
2. Changing the keyboard language Settings in Windows.
-- Click Start.
-- In Search program and files tab type in keyboard layout.
-- The option as Change keyboard or other input methods comes up.
-- Click Change keyboard or other input methods.
-- Click the tab for Keyboard and Language.
-- Click Change keyboard.
-- Ensure the Default input language is set to English (United States) US.
-- Click Apply- Ok.
-- Restart the computer and check the functionality.
You may also refer to the link below for changing the language settings from windows.
