2 options:

 

replace existing keyboard

or

utilize a regular keyboard via PS2/USB connection.

My daughter is having the same problem!  Not getting any answers.  She has the Inspirion 2200.  When she types the s key she gets sw, f gets fr only keys not affected are the g and h.  What can be done?

read above:

 

replace existing keyboard with a refuribished/2nd hand keyboard

 

or

 

use an external keyboard plugged in via the PS2/USB port.

my daughter has an ispiron, less than 8 months old it is :
