Laptop bent
I have a Dell Latitude D630. It was dropped and now the outside of the laptop is slightly bent, there is a crack on the back near the fan, and the cdrom thing popped out and is cracked. I have pictures but cant seem to get them to post. Any idea if this is an easy inexpensive fix? The laptop was issued by my job so I'm not sure about a warranty and want to try and fix it myself before i have to involve HR.
Any ideas on what to do? If you think you can help and need photos please email me.

Does the laptop still operate (except for the CD-ROM drive)?
The damage would not be covered by a normal warranty. However it might be covered by your employer's insurance.

It would also be covered under Complete Care if it has it.
Then they would replace the bottom plastics. Why go through the trouble of fiberglass repair, bottom plastics could sometimes be found for around $30 off Fleabay:

Parts People also has it:

Not really difficult, just time consuming. You just need a precision screwdriver and a 5mm hex driver/socket. Many suggest a ground strap to release static electricity. I never used one, usually touch the metal case of my desktop (or somebody close by ;)). Just don't do it on carpet if you can help it.
Here's the documentation for your system:

You will need the service manual for a guide to swapping the mainboard.
