Latitude E6400 - Need driver help!

I have a Latitude E6400 and I'm having a problem getting a driver installed. I have the sound card installed and sound works, however, in the Device Manager, I have an "Audio Device on High Definition Audio Bus" component that doesn't have a driver. I have not idea what driver to install since I've applied all the drivers that are listed as "Audio" on Dells support page for the model laptop.

Does anyone know what I'm missing?

You need to make sure you install drivers in correct order:

Dell Notebook Software, Vista Power Management Settings, Chipset Drivers, Video Drivers, Communications Drivers, Network Drivers, Audio, Input Device Drivers, Applications.

Does the battery for this system really last up to 19 hours? If installed in the wrong order, Audio problems can arise.

Thanks for the help. I'm using XP on the laptop but I'll try installing the drivers in the same order.

As for the battery life. No idea, I haven't used it on battery and never will. I'm just setting it up for an employee.

There is a subfolder in the video driver folder "R192087" called "HDMI" where I was able to find the High Definition Audio driver for Win XP. I hope it can help you.

"R195363" didn't work for me but "R192087" subfolder HDMI yes.  You shoul be able to see three files intchdmi.cat, IntcHdmi.inf, and IntcHdmi.sys  Good luck!

Help. I have the same issue. Latitude E6400 Running XP and I can't find the driver for "Audio Device on High Definition Audio Bus." Please help. I tried the driver in the HDMI folder (R195363). I was unable to find the package that you go to work. Any help you could offer would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry to be a pain but I can't find R192087. I've tried the other versions of the Intel driver but can't seem to find it anywhere.

I found the driver R192087 in the Drivers and Utilities CD that came with the laptop. The Video driver is called Intel GM45/GE45/GS45 Integrated Graphics Rev:A01 (_R192087.EXE)

You've been a great help. My guys tell me this laptop did not come with a utilities cd, just a XP and Vista reload CD. I'll have to try to find it online. Thanks again.
