Latitude E6400 keyboard problem: Keys do not work, trackpoint does
Has anyone else experienced this problem? I cannot type but I can use the keyboard trackpoint and trackpoint keys. I have tried changing the keyboard, but the same problem persisted. The drivers were good and I can attach keyboard via USB for full functionality. Could it be a problem with the palm rest where the keyboard attaches to or something else?
Thanks for reading!

Hi Instagram,
I would suggest you to try flashing the BIOS on the system. Please enter your service tag # on the link below, select the operating system, and then download the BIOS from the BIOS section onto the system and install it.

It seems to be an issue with the keyboard or keyboard slot as you have replaced it twice.

Hi Ravi,
Thank you for your reply. I flashed my BIOS from A32 to A34, however the keyboard still does not work (I am running Win 8 and did not see that as a choice but I assume that is irrelevant).
Yes, I have replcaed the keyboard and the issue still exists, cannot type but I can use the trackstick. What would be my next step?

Hi Instagram,
Sorry for the delayed response. The keyboard may be faulty as the external USB keyboard is working correctly.
