Latitude E6530 chipset driver update fails
Using Dell Clent System Update to update a Latitude E6530. All drivers are updated now except the Intel Chipset Driver. On Windows 7 64 bit. Framework version of the driver is 3.0.921.
The error message that it gives is Update package digital signature is invalid - status: Failed Error Code 7
Not sure how to remedy this.
I am trying to install this driver update hoping it will remedy a black screen with cursor when logging in. It takes about a minute to login and then the desktop finally appears. Was taking quite a bit longer to log in before I updated the other drivers and then removed McAfee to see if it was eating up system resources.
Any help is appreciated.

I have the same thing, and this particular update has stuck for months...
Would really appreciate if someone can look into this one.

I just got around this by installing the update directly.
Go to this page:
http://www.dell.com/support/home/uk/en/ukdhs1/Drivers/DriversDetails?c=uk&l=en&s=dhs&driverid=CPNKY
Download the second format (Hard-Drive), and follow the instructions to install the package.
Now when I run Dell System Update, it says that everything is up to date.
I hope this helps.
Chris.

Yes, in fact I had the same warning, but I clicked "The program installed correctly" and everything was ok. It must have been worrying about nothing.
In any case When I run Dell Command Update and look at System Information, I can see that the latest chipset drivers are indeed installed.

I got a message saying "this program may not have installed correctly" and chose to "reinstall with recommended settings". There was an error referencing DRVR_Chipset_Intel_A00-CPNKY_setup_ZPE.exe from "Windows Error Reporting" in the Application event log, but the update has disappeared from the Dell updater so I guess it must have failed the first time and then succeeded on the "reinstall" attempt. Thank you for the workaround.

I experienced the same error. The resolution that worked for myself was to download the Intel Chipset Driver from Dell's support site. After installation a simple reboot, then ran Client Update which reported no update's afterward.
To give more insight, The error also mention that the diver was not Dell digitally certified. I suspect this maybe why it will not auto install.
Also this resolution was already mentioned I noticed prior by a poster named Chris.
