Latitude LCD-Display Color Profile File/Driver?

Traditionally, LCDs are very bad at displaying cyan highlights or background. This is especially true when a driver/profile is not installed.

Is there anyplace I can find a color profile (ICC/ICM file) for my C610's LCD(made by IBM I think)?

Thanks,
M.

ps. Yes, I do have all the latest and greatest driver files downloaded and installed from Dell.

Have you found a way to apply a color profile to a C610? I have a C610 and have not been able to. I can tell Windows about it, but it has no impact.

My limited understanding is that the Mobility Radeon has a Look Up Table buried in it, but that it is not accessible with the drivers supplied by Dell. I am using Dell's lates release (7.991-040224m-014403C-Dell per Device Manager details; version 6.14.10.6430 per the driver tab) with adapter BIOS 5.0.7.6 under WinXP SP2. Supposedly, newer Catalyst drivers from ATI will work when modded to have the .INF file include the C610. I have not tried this and am trying to find out more about it.

If you get the display adapter to work with LUTs, you can use a colorimeter to create a color profile for your display and revise it as your display changes over time. I don't know how similar the profiles are for different C610's. My C610 is even extremely sensitive to the viewing angle.

See https://support.ati.com/ics/support/default.asp?deptID=894&task=knowledge&folderID=27 for the Catalyst 5.6 drivers. I don't know the reasons for chossing the Control Panel or Control Center variants. Note that ATI does not list this as a driver for the Mobility RADEON (not the first one without a numeric suffix).

See http://www.driverheaven.net/patje/ for the Mobility Modder. This supposedly convinces the Catalyst driver to install on a Mobility RADEON computer.

Good luck. Please post to this thread if you find a solution.
