Latitude e5430 and SD card reader problem! Driver problem

Hello!

I have: Dell Latitude e5430 laptop with built in SD card reader.

I have Win 8.1 x64.

The card reader don't work. With the default win driver seems totally dead: nothing happen when I insert a card.

With the specific Dell driver detect the inserted card, and I see it in Win Explorer as removable drive-but I can't browse the content. Error message: unknown file system-format.

Naturally, the card is formatted (fat32) and normally works in other PC.

And the built in card reader work correctly under Linux (installed on same e5430 laptop). So, the problematic is: the driver. Not the SD card, not the card reader, only the driver.

Where can I find a working driver, if the driver from dell.com isn't work?

Thanks

Hi molngab,

I would suggest you to update the BIOS and then install Windows 7 card reader driver in compatibility mode on the system. Please enter your service tag # on the link below, then download the BIOS required onto the system and install it.

Please let me know if this helps.
