Left Hand User for USB Mouse!!!

Hi,

I have a Dell Latitude E5510 with windows 7. I can use my Dell USB mouse; but I cannot change button clicks.

When I use the path Control Panel/Mouse/Buttons I cannot change anything; because it is indicated there with bold letters that "NO MICROSOFT USB MOUSE DETECTED" although I can use my Dell USB mouse wtih my right hand...

This is a very disturbing problem, and a solution will be highly appreciated.

Thank you in advance

Just a suggestion, but are you using the Microsoft Intellimouse driver, or have previously installed the Intellimouse driver?  You will need to remove all traces of this for the native driver to enable the 'switch button' support.

(I have an XPS L501 and have a Logitech MX610 mouse which works fine with the buttons switched)

Hi Ocelikoglu,

Welcome to the Community. I agree with Dilbert. Go to control panel, and add remove programs and remove Microsoft Intilipoint. This should remove it from the device manager as well, but I suggest you check the device manager once as well. Click on Start, right click on Computer, click properties, click device manager, and uninstall Microsoft Intilipoint. Restart you computer after uninstalling, make sure the USB mouse is connected when restarting, so it will reinstall a fresh driver. Then go back to change the Left click buttons.

Hope this helps.

Thank you

Royan
