The keyboard got wet and the upper part, near the display. But everything is working nicely, even the keys that got wet. Some of the liquid dropped around the ac adapter and wetted inside the plug, and one of the usb ports. I runned the PC Checkout software and checked everything - from memory to CMOS - and it says it's everything fine.

Well, if Complete Care will cover this, than I guess I should just chill out and let them fix whatever went wrong.

But still... this surprised me positively in a way: the amount of coffee I spilled would have ruined completely my old laptop (it happened once...).

If only the adapter got wet, it may be simply the adapter.  If the notebook got wet - particularly when it was powered on - the mainboard was fried.

Yes, Complete Care will cover the accident.

New laptops tend to be quite hardy, especially Dell’s. Chances are there’s some residue on the motherboard near where the battery and or AC adaptor connects.

Dell complete care does cover this kind of damage/accident, if you don’t have the details anymore from your invoice pop your service tag in here...

Hi,

I managed to get it working again. I noticed veeery tiny droplets of coffee inside the female conector, on a place where there are four very small holes. I managed to clean it and it worked again!

Thanks for the link, but I guess I can't use it. I bought my Dell in Brazil (where I actually live) and the customer service is valid only in Brazil. But thanks anyway.

Well, thanks for the help all of you. The answers were very quick and nice. Thanks.
