These are community forums - i.e. we're nothing more than fellow Dell product owners ourselves.
If you want official Dell tech support to provide an answer/suggestions to your problem, you need to contact them via one or other of the options offered on the support pages of the Dell website :emotion-55:
In the meantime... did you use any of the various methods available, to check if there were any potential problems with upgrading to Windows 7?
By that, I mean the likes of Microsoft's Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor +/or Dell's Upgrading from Windows Vista to Windows 7 Using the Dell Upgrade Assistant.
And did you follow Dell's 'Drivers installation order' guide, because not installing particular drivers, or installing them out of sequence, *can* lead to problems?
Finally... did you also reinstall the webcam software?
If you used/followed/installed all of those, you're on your own I'm afraid, because you chose to install an OS not (yet?) supported by Dell for the XPS M1210.
You should've known there were no Windows 7 drivers offered, and you were subsequently taking a chance the Vista drivers would work.
If you need the webcam to work, you have two options:
1. Reinstall Windows Vista?
2. If you want to use Windows 7, bite the bullet, and buy an external USB webcam for which there are Windows 7 drivers available.

:^/ Do they now? Why do the Dell support guys need our support for this issue? I would have thought they could handle it on their own.

I am running Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit on my M1210 and searched for this issue when I installed. These were the drivers that worked and they are for 32 and 64bit.
If the software does not install directly, which I don't think it will, go to the device manager and double click the unknown device, driver tab, then update driver button.
Select - Browse my computer for driver software. Search for a driver software in this location - (assuming main windows drive is C:)
c:\dell\drivers\R151795\drivers\x32 Then hit next. It should find and install drivers.
I do not have any Logitech software installed, just the drivers. I use it for Skype.
Good luck!
